In a major crackdown on for-hire distributed denial-of-service (DDoS) services, Europol has taken significant steps to address the growing issue of cybercrime. Recently, the agency contacted approximately 75,000 individuals involved in these activities, urging them to discontinue their participation in DDoS attacks.
The operation not only engaged in outreach but also resulted in concrete action, leading to the arrest of four individuals suspected of orchestrating such attacks. Furthermore, law enforcement successfully dismantled 53 domains associated with these illicit services, signaling a strong response to the threats posed by cybercriminals.
